Aunque algunas personas las confunden o las ven como \u201cintercambiables\u201d, <strong data-start=\"1465\" data-end=\"1492\">no responden a lo mismo<\/strong>. Este art\u00edculo es informativo y no reemplaza la valoraci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr data-start=\"2066\" data-end=\"2069\">\n<h2 data-start=\"2071\" data-end=\"2134\">Tomograf\u00eda computarizada (TAC): protagonismo del tejido \u00f3seo<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2136\" data-end=\"2417\">La <strong data-start=\"2139\" data-end=\"2167\">tomograf\u00eda computarizada<\/strong>, conocida como <strong data-start=\"2183\" data-end=\"2190\">TAC<\/strong>, es un estudio r\u00e1pido que utiliza <strong data-start=\"2225\" data-end=\"2248\">radiaci\u00f3n ionizante<\/strong> para generar im\u00e1genes \u201cpor cortes\u201d del cuerpo. En traumatolog\u00eda destaca porque ofrece una <strong data-start=\"2339\" data-end=\"2366\">visualizaci\u00f3n del hueso<\/strong> con mayor detalle que una radiograf\u00eda tradicional.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2419\" data-end=\"2730\">Una ventaja importante es que esos cortes pueden reconstruirse y analizarse desde distintos \u00e1ngulos, incluso con <strong data-start=\"2532\" data-end=\"2555\">reconstrucciones 3D<\/strong>. Esto es especialmente \u00fatil cuando una fractura parece simple, pero en realidad puede incluir compromiso articular, peque\u00f1os fragmentos desplazados o desalineaciones sutiles.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2732\" data-end=\"2769\">\u00bfPara qu\u00e9 sirve la TAC en trauma?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2770\" data-end=\"2815\">En la pr\u00e1ctica cl\u00ednica, la TAC es clave para:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2817\" data-end=\"3084\">\n<li data-start=\"2817\" data-end=\"2863\">\n<p data-start=\"2819\" data-end=\"2863\">Confirmar una fractura y describir su patr\u00f3n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2864\" data-end=\"2923\">\n<p data-start=\"2866\" data-end=\"2923\">Evaluar fracturas que comprometen superficies articulares<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2924\" data-end=\"2984\">\n<p data-start=\"2926\" data-end=\"2984\">Identificar hundimientos o fragmentos peque\u00f1os desplazados<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2985\" data-end=\"3019\">\n<p data-start=\"2987\" data-end=\"3019\">Planificar abordajes quir\u00fargicos<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3020\" data-end=\"3084\">\n<p data-start=\"3022\" data-end=\"3084\">Verificar consolidaci\u00f3n y resultados tras cirug\u00edas de fijaci\u00f3n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3086\" data-end=\"3236\">En el trauma por accidente de tr\u00e1nsito, la TAC suele establecer con precisi\u00f3n la dimensi\u00f3n del compromiso esquel\u00e9tico y facilita decisiones tempranas.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"3238\" data-end=\"3241\">\n<h2 data-start=\"3243\" data-end=\"3306\">Resonancia magn\u00e9tica (RM): ver lo que \u201cno se ve\u201d en el hueso<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3308\" data-end=\"3559\">La <strong data-start=\"3311\" data-end=\"3335\">resonancia magn\u00e9tica<\/strong> es diferente: <strong data-start=\"3350\" data-end=\"3370\">no usa radiaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Son complementarias.
